During this trip, we went sailing small areas of the coast of Tamiahua being able to verify the actual status of beaches.

We also navigate some of the channels and mangrove areas that flow into the coast so we were able to verify the status of this natural resource, as well as the fishing activity that takes place in the area.

We met with people that rely on small scale fishing to hold their family, people that rely on clean and healthy beaches to find opportunities through offering tourism services to support their family.

Small scale fishing is no longer a good living option for families regardless of the exploitation of the resource without any control.

At the same time, we confirm the need to raise awareness in society to care for and to protect our natural resources through adequate public policies and the offer of responsible touristic services that allow more families to improve their living conditions.

Diving the reefs, snorkeling at the beach, visiting natural protected areas such as the beautiful “Isla Lobos” (an island) in Tamiahua, sailing among mangrove, relaxing at the beach or simply sailing the sea, remember you are helping families to improve their living condition but also, you are supporting nature conservation.
